Montchenis

The Domaine

Montchenis covers a 62-hectare, very well-kept area at the foot of Mont Beuvray in the south of the Parc Naturel, embedded in a lovely hilly landscape.

The typical Ferme was built in the early 19th century. It consists of a main house, two cottages and two barns. Idyllic corners, small ponds and the romantic bathing and fishing lake offer our visitors a variety of opportunities to linger, exercise and relax. Welcome to vacation.

The Parc du Morvan

The Parc du Morvan in the heart of Burgundy is one of the largest contiguous nature parks in France. The sparsely populated rural low mountain range region is untouched by modern agriculture or the signs of industrialization. More than 3,500 km of riding and hiking trails lead through this beautiful landscape, which has remained unchanged for centuries.

CharolaisThe gentle ups and downs of the hills offer ever new views of green valleys populated by Charolais cattle leisurely grazing with their calves. In spring, the landscape, which is criss-crossed by countless watercourses, is enchanting with yellow broom blossoms and white sloe hedges. In summer, the unspoilt, dense deciduous forests provide the hiker with soothing shade, and in the fall delicious mushrooms fill the baskets of gourmets.

The Morvan is rich in rare flora and fauna. Sundews, carnivorous plants and magnificent orchids have survived in the moors. Ospreys, kingfishers and gray herons stalk the creeks, ponds and lakes where lampreys and ruffed heads frolic.

Breathe deeply and relax in the healthy, soothing nature of the Morvan.
